Remarkable late 19th.c. dentist's cabinet in mahogany by the specialist makers Ransom & Randolph of Toledo Ohio USA c.1890. Unlock the little mirror door cupboard at the right hand side to allow the rotating rack at the centre to turn which in turn allows access to a bank of six slim trays opening on beautiful decorative brass hinges and a small drawer below. Opening the drawer releases the locking mechanism for the four larger rotating trays in the serpentine fronted lower part of the cabinet. The top two fitted with grooved racks for tools, the lower two lined in red baize and with a raised front edge. With a slide pulling out from above the trays whilst below are five drawers of graduated height and another small cupboard. Topped with an acanthus carved gallery with a small oval mirror panel at the centre. Raised on short bracket feet with the original metal castors. Original pierced brass knobs. Maker's label to the interior. Some old wear to the bevelled mirror on the upper cupboard (could be replaced in preferred) and some marks to the finish. Generally very good original condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
