This is a lovely piece of antique furniture which has clearly been cherished for over 200 years!!
It’s quietly handsome ... clearly made by a cabinet maker who understands timber and skilled carpentry. It’s GeorgeIII ....circa 1780- 1800..... quarter sawn oak with mahogany cross banding and original brass handles....it has a simple Greek key pattern to the top of a well arched cornice ... apart from the handsome proportions this is the sum of its embellishments ..... just right and pleasing on the eye. Character storage.... super quality ....lovely proportions..... wonderful relaxed colour ....cherished condition....understated class!
English: circa 1780- 1800...possibly a bit earlier..
