A fine London 8 day pagoda top longcase clock by Thomas Bawcutt, London. High quality, 5 pillar dead-beat escapement with strike/silent in the arch . Equally high quality 13″ dial with signature cartouche, seconds dial and calendar aperture. Blued steel hands. The superb case is typical of the best London work, with excellent proportions, solid Mahogany trunk door, choice flame veneers with excellent mouldings & lovely colour having quartered columns to the hood with brass quills.
