This is a beautiful Chinese red lacquered wedding cabinet dating from the late 19th century. The rich red cabinet is in solid elm and has a central brass lock plate and sliding bolt. The cabinet is hand painted and gilded with beautiful foliage and blossom throughout and the piece has a wonderfully antique, softly distressed finish which has great charm and character. The cabinet has a central shelf to the interior and a large storage area beneath. The piece measures 128 cms wide 170 cms high by 50 cms deep.
