Circa 1880. Rare Chinese marble-inset carved huanghuali hall bench. The shaped back with a central round and side rectangular variegated white marble insets attached by open carved foliate mounts to the faux bamboo frame. The shaped arm on open carved foliate supports. The seat with a central highly figured huanghuali panel above a marble inset frieze with small, shell and patera carving. All supported on faux bamboo type legs with cross stretchers.
