Rare 19th century Chinese black lacquered and batam work fine incised cabinet (made from coromandel wood). The top is decorated with a mountainous landscape, the sides with flowering chrysanthemum shrubs, the hinged front detailed with beauties on a veranda and enclosing an arrangement of drawers with flowering blossom, shells and ruyi sceptre designs, raised on a possibly later or associated stand with single drawer and four turned supports.
