Good quality mid 19th century chest of 7 drawers veneered in Rosewood and retaining a mellow antique patination throughout.
This beautiful antique "semanier" is French and dated to around the 1880's. It bears the label of Bedel & co of Rue St Augustin.
The 7 drawers are really well made,run smoothely and each fitted with it's individual ormolu key.The cabriole legs are solid rosewood and beautifuly carved.
A blush terracotta veined marble sits atop of the chest.
SHOWN HERE IN TOP SHOWROOM CONDITION HAVING BEEN LIGHTLY RESTORED AND WAX POLISHED, THIS DELIGHTFUL CHEST IS READY FOR USE.
