Charles II Walnut Geometric Chest of Drawers c1680 %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A lovely 17th C period chest with wonderful proportions and in excellent condition considering its 330 year age.
The chest is of superb original colour and patination with very decorative geometric drawer fronts and an unusual moulded edge to top.
The drawer fronts, framework and top are all from solid walnut while the side panels are made from elm.
It has a few age related minor restorations including replacement handles and feet. These are the correct style for the period and have been carried out many years ago.
A truly stunning piece that would grace any home.
