This is a beautiful and rare Champleve enamel carriage antique clock of French manufacture dating from the turn of the 19th/20th century is unsigned although the movement is of the finest quality .
The clock has a running duration of 8 days and retains its original platform escapement . It has a movement that strikes the hours and half hours on a coiled gong .These strikes can also be activated at will by a repeat button on top of the case Interestingly the clock is sold together with its original carrying case which has the name of the original retailer in Shanghai.

The Anglaise Riche case is richly decorated on all four sides and the top with bright Champleve enamel and there are Corinthian capped columns on all four corners.
This item is is is 7 inches high with the handle raised. It is 3 3/4 wide. The depth is 3 1/4 inches.
The overall condition is excellent and the movement will be serviced by Overton Clocks of Chesterfield prior to sale..
The cream enamel dial with Arabic numerals is in perfect condition and retains its finely made hands
