Late 19th.c. camphorwood campaign chest c.1890. Solid camphorwood boards, a fragrant and pest resistant timber designed to protect the contents during passage, further protected with brass bindings and corners. Flush fitting handle to the lid and original heavy brass carry handles to the sides. Good mellow colour and excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
