Rare large pair of early 19th century French Empire style brass and copper candlesticks dating to around 1830. Super quality heavyweight candlesticks more commonly seen in half this size.
The columns are of copper with brass fittings top and bottom over a circular dished brass base. They come complete with their original removable scalloped rim drip pans.
In excellent condition with minimal surface wear.
They measure 26 cm high and have a combined weight of almost 2.5 kg.
