c18th Italian painted sofa table
Fabulous c18th Italian painted and slight gilded writing table or side table of a good size.
Beautifully painted and retaining a lot of its original paint and some traces of original gilding too.
As you can see from the photos, there are areas where there are losses to the paint and also aged repairs to the top, but these are all what makes a piece like this so good. It's aged well and is showing some of its history and use.
Very decorative and a good size for a writing desk, but also would work well as a dressing table too.
The table is finished on all sides, so it could be a free standing sofa table or hall table too.
Measuring:
31 1/2” or 80cm high
52” or 132cm wide
26 1/2” or 67cm deep
25” or 64cm kneehole height Based in Uppingham, Rutland…having been in the business for 25 years focusing on mostly French and English decorative antiques and interiors from the 18th to the early 20th century, hopefully a collection you will enjoy browsing and hopefully re home some of my finds!
