C18th Georgian Mahogany Dwarf Chest of Drawers
C18th Georgian Mahogany Dwarf Chest of Drawers
George III period, mahogany dwarf chest of drawers, dating from the mid to late C18th. This chest of drawers with rectangular top, thumb moulded edge and square corners, four full width drawers, all graduated in height, with cockbeaded edges, double swan neck brass handles, brass escutcheons and later locks. Raised on bracket feet.
A particularly handsome and rare, very compact chest of drawers, recently restored and in very good condition. Solid mahogany frame with mahogany drawer linings and some pine secondary timbers.
Dimensions:
This chest of drawers measures approximately 79.5 cm (31") tall, 73 cm (29") wide, and 49 cm (19") deep.
Condition:
Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chest of drawers is in a very good condition, commensurate with its age, and is structurally very sound and sturdy. Recently restored and very much ready to use. Some minor odd marks. Later set of locks, though no key. Third drawer down has replacement drawer lining, side to side, all the others have the original front to back linings, and there is a very slight bow to the top part of the front of the drawer. Very serviceable and ready to use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
