Butlers Tray Top Coffee Table coffee table butlers tray sofa table %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
Lovely size original late Georgian butlers tray with hinged lifting sides on a later mahogany frame.
The try itself is in lovely original condition and has cleaned and polished up beautifully. Some signs of growing old gracefully, but nothing of any concern and has a lovely beeswaxed finish.
All original hinges which have also been cleaned to brighten up and the panelled tray is solid and in good condition. Locating blocks to the underside so it sits securely on the base.
The H frame base is later as this tray would have originally sat upon a waist height folding frame, so it has been married up with the current base making it a standard coffee table height.
As you can see, you can use the tray top with the sides raised or lowered and you can lift the whole try top off if required.
Measuring:
With carrying flaps down
18 3/4” or 48cm high
28 1/2” or 72.5cm wide
