Here we have a wonderful rare solid Elm George III bureau c1800. As you can see the bureau has great colour and patina. The timbers have been carefully chosen for their excellent figured grain. There is a single plank with cleated ends to the fall front which has the original working lock and key. Internally there are two drawers and the original hinges. The sides are single planks of well figured Elm. The drawers retain their original turned wooden handles and have hand cut dovetail joints. The bureau sits on the original bun feet. A super period bureau of compact proportions in excellent retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 36 inches wide 19 deep and 39 high.
