Bureau desk on stand George II Oak c1730
Here we have a wonderful George II country Oak bureau on stand c1730. As you can see the bureau has super colour and patina. The top bureau section has an iron lock and super grain to the fall front. It is constructed with revealed dovetail joints. The fall front opens to reveal a well fitted interior. There are Oak lined drawers and a cebtral cupboard. The reeded pilar to the right of the door opens to reveal a secret compartment. There are beautiful original batwing hinges and a slight well behind the green baize liner. The stand consists of three drawers all with stunning original brass handles. The legs are cabrioled and typical of the period. An extremely useful period Oak bureau in great retail condition ready for your home. The dimensions are approx 38.5 inches wide 41 high and 22 deep.
