A British Army 1845 pattern officers sword. Engraved on the blade 69th Regiment and also Hopkinson, Pall Mall, London. VR on the hilt, leather scabbard with brass fittings.
Blade 32" long some old pitting. Total length 40" long.
The 69th foot was the South Lincolnshire regiment, which in 1881 became the 41st Welch regiment
