British 19C Victorian watercolour landscape painting
Antique original British 19th Century Victorian watercolour painting.
There is a hand written note on the back that says 'The Thames at Hall, June 6 1883'. If anyone can identify the name of the location, please let us know as we would be very grateful.
We think that this painting is very well executed and from a skilled artist.
300mmW x 225mmH.
This is one of around 20 paintings that we believe come from the same artist. A couple of them are marked with the name BA Whitworth, but we have not been able to find out anything about the artist.
Only slight yellowing (as you would expect). A little wear and some small tears (10 to 20mm long, 2 top and 2 bottom) to the edges from being handled and the odd tiny spec or mark, but free from any major defects. The painting does not appear to have been ever mounted or framed.
