A Fresh Breeze. A watercolour by the well known marine artist Frederick James Aldridge, showing sailing boats on a choppy sea.

Frederick James Aldridge (1850-1933) RA, RBA. RHA, began his career at the age of 20 and became a noted painter of sailing vessels. He painted in both oils and watercolours and this watercolour, in its original gilt frame, entitled 'A Fresh Breeze' is a fine example of his work. He held exhibitions in Brighton and Dorchester.
