This is a pretty mid-century Mascot powder compact which would make a good 'Something Blue' gift. The lid has five blue flowers with golden brown foliage. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror is excellent & gives a good reflection. The original waxed paper insert is in place & it reads as follows 'WHEN USING Cream Powder SIMPLY PUSH IN YOUR REFILL TO REMOVE OR REPLACE REFILL LEVER OUT BY INSERTING END OF NAIL-FILE IN THE HINGE SLOT FACING THE ARROW POINT mascot'. The silk and foam puff and the card edged sifter are in good condition. The base is decorated with a bold engine turned spiral.
