Open Top Chest - Versatile - circa 1840

This writing desk chest of drawers is a pleasing example with gorgeous patina and a wonderful feel to the whole piece.

The chest is presented in good antique order throughout.

Benefiting from four full width oak lined drawers the chest offers ample storage. With matched flame mahogany veneer drawer fronts and original handle fittings and lock escutcheons below a wave form upper the piece displays very attractively.

The upper section of the chest opens and slides forward to reveal a fitted interior with mirror back.

The piece offers the scope to be used in a variety of locations.
