Belgium - Croix du Feu medal, 1914-18.
Initially, service at the front under fire was recognised by the record of service document "Carte du feu", and a lapel badge.
In 1934 this medal was instituted to do the same, and was retrospectively issued.
The medal is not engraved with the recipient's name.
This full size medal measures approximately 4.5 cm (1.75") by 4.5 cm (1.75") excluding the suspension ring.
