Baker Bayonet.
A most rare early 19th century sword bayonet for the Baker Rifle. This was the standard issue bayonet to the Rifle Regiments(Sharpshooters.)In the Napoleonic wars. There is no scabbard and the blade is well worn and discoloured. A collector wishing to add a Baker bayonet to his collection will have to look far and wide for another genuine example. In fifty years of collecting edged weapons II can count on one hand the genuine Baker bayonets II have handled and none have had a scabbard.
