Arts & Crafts / Art Nouveau inlaid elbow chair
Stunning high back Arts & Crafts/Art Nouveau solid mahogany chair with open arms. This armchair is profuse with extremely beautiful decorative features throughout. The shaped padded back has pierced decoration and sinuous inlay detailing on the head rail and uprights. The shaped arms have heart-shaped inlay detailing as well as string inlay. The bow fronted seat has chequered string inlay on the seat rail and continues on the shaped square tapering front supports. The padded central panel and seat have been entirely traditionally re-upholstered from the frame by The Sitting Place. The armchair is then finished in complementary and lovely Fritillerie fabric in red and sand by GP&J Baker. This chair would certainly make an extremely decorative addition to any room, such as an entrance, living room or even bedroom.
Where applicable, our upholstered items of stock are fully newly traditionally re-upholstered in-house using only traditional materials and no foam so as to be in-keeping with the age of the piece as an antique.

Condition Very good original condition, beautiful colour throughout, solid mahogany, inlay all intact, no loose joints, very minor scuffs commensurate with past use and age, one dent on the front seat rail, which does not at all detract.

Returns policy
There is a right to cancel an order from the moment the order is placed to The Sitting Place up to 14 days from the day the item is delivered/received. In the unlikely event that the customer/buyer is not pleased with a purchase made from The Sitting Place, the item in question may be returned. Notification of a return to The Sitting Place is to be made by the customer by email or by phone on +44(0)7341770324.
The item needs to be returned within a further 14 days to The Sitting Place and in the condition the item was received and suitable for re-sale. The customer is to take reasonable care and ensure that the item is well protected when returning the item. The customer is informed that a deduction of the refund will be made to cover for delivery cost to complete the return of the item(s) (unless otherwise agreed). A further reduction of the refund can be made by The Sitting Place if the value of the item has been reduced as a result of the customer handling the item more than was necessary or as a result of the item being soiled and/or damaged.
The return of the item will be arranged by The Sitting Place. Refunds will be made to the customer/buyer, within 14 days of The Sitting Place receiving the returned item(s). Returns cannot be made for items purchased from outside the United Kingdom.
It is brought to the customer's/buyer's attention that the items sold by The Sitting Place are antique and hence the wood will have some wear commensurate with age.
