A tin foil Art Deco compact mirror with a lid depicting Blackpool Tower and the sea front as they would have appeared in the 1930s. This would make an unusual tin / 10th wedding anniversary gift. The gorgeous iridescent foil is rendered to appear as though a storm is brewing. A ray of sun streams through the clouds. This piece is nearly ninety years old and the colours are as vibrant as they were back in the day, as the scene is protected by the original celluloid cover. The metal mirror is usable and like many metal mirrors it reflects in a slightly distorted manner. The base is stamped 'MADE IN ENGLAND'. Measures 2" & weighs 32.1 grams.
