A stylish Art Deco hall stand c1930's, probably French. The frame is made of hammered steel of different textures, with a top shelf for hats with light below, central bevelled edge mirror over a small marble shelf, coat hooks on each side and a stick stand to the bottom with a marble base. In good original condition, no damage or repairs. Original lamp holder has been rewired and PAT tested.
There are holes at the top of the frame so that it can be fixed to the wall, as it will fall forward when loaded with coats.

Our stock items are carefully selected by myself and I only buy good quality items which may need small repairs, a clean and a polish. I don't buy any items that need major restoration, but any loose joints are re-glued. Occasionally, some items may have small amounts of historic extinct woodworm, never enough to affect the integrity of the item, and is always treated as a matter of course. We try to describe and show our items the best we can, and we use studio lighting which sometimes lightens the colour slightly on some of the furniture. All lamps are rewired and PAT tested. Every item we sell we would have in our home (some of them have been!!) It is impossible to describe every item fully, so please feel free to email or call for more information or any queries you may have. The items will have no major defects but will show signs of normal age related wear and use. I would prefer the items to show its life rather than strip it and re-polish it, as it's only original once!
