Gorgeous! This is a beautiful, deep kingfisher blue, guilloche enamel powder compact in the nicest of antique condition. Measuring c. 1.5/8" inch, it has a link to the top for wearing on a chatelaine or as a pendant. The enameling is top and bottom and has survived in good order, an early example and the enamel is lovely, a minor and sympathetic repair near the hinge which does not in my opinion detract. - It opens to reveal a gilded interior with the numbers 153 stamped, no other marks are present so I will sell as white metal. The slightly convex mirror is showing signs commensurate with its 90-100 years but is the original. All in all It is a top quality piece that I am hoping will find its way to an appreciative buyer.
