This stunning museum quality bag with all of its accessories is sensational. The Evans Elegance handbag is extraordinary and in near mint condition. Smartly tailored quality black leather is classically designed with a wide finely ribbed brass frame. Fitted with all of its matching accessories each in its own snug pocket, always handy for instant use. Powder compact, one piece pop-up lipstick holder, cigarette case and an Evans automatic lighter, pocket mirror, coin purse and comb.
The coin purse is attached with a gold chain. Compact has inner mirror and hinged door powder compartment. Accessories have ribbed pattern that matches the purse frame. Lighter, lipstick holder and compact are marked, “Evans”, with logo. The powder compact, cigarette holder and lighter each have a clear monogram field.
The leather is soft and supple, without damage or wear. Never carried. Pristine inside. All accessories are original and never used. The gold frame and clasp are in very Fine condition.
Bio: Evans operated from 1922-1960 in North Attleborough, Massachusetts. They produced very high end lighters, cigarette cases, compacts, vanity cases, handbags, and men’s accessories such as tie clips and cufflinks.
The company stopped making handbags in 1955 but continued to make lighters and compacts for another five years.
Measures 9 inches long x 6 inches high (without clasp) x 3 inches deep at base. 1 inch wide leather strap handle has 5 3/4 inch drop.
