Extremely rare large size Archibald Knox Liberty & Co Tudric pewter and enamel mantel clock inset with copper dial, model number 0290.
A futuristic and imposing design, the clock is inset with a stylish copper dial surrounded by three vivid blue enamel cabochons.
Knox large scale mantel clocks are rare and coveted and made by special commission due to high costs and complexity of manufacture, this particular version has only been been previously seen once with abalone inlays.
Reference: Archibald Knox Order & Beauty exhibition catalogue, Manx Museum, Isle of Man page 25 for same version with abalone inlays.
In completely untouched and unpolished original condition with no damage to both pewter and enamels. Retaining its original hands and Lenzkirch clock movement.
Marks: Stamped to base with model number 0290.
Size: 25cm height.
Date: c. 1910.
Condition: Completely untouched original condition throughout with no damage or issues to both pewter and enamels. The Lenzkirch clock movement requires attention and a full service.
