Stunning original antique Swedish chaise longue dating from around the 1830-40's period. This piece is in great condition & structurally sound. It has just come over from Sweden & has been French polished, plus re-upholstered. It's classic Regency in design, with strong sabre legs & a scrolled around bolstered end. The frame is flame mahogany, whilst the back is not really meant to be viewed & is stained pine. Originally, the backs were left open, but we have had it covered too, because it looks better that way & could also stand out in a room. This chaise longue is of very generous proportions, quite deep & is very heavy. Please be aware this item may be in our shop or our warehouse - please contact us prior to visiting.
