A wonderful antique Victorian walnut ottoman blanket chest / stool. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1860-1880 period.

It is of superb quality and is a useful size. There is lots of storage space inside, revealed when the upholstered seat is lifted. The walnut grain patterns and colours are stunning, this is finished nicely on all sides, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have had the wood re-polished and this has been re-upholstered in a cream cotton fabric. The condition is excellent for its age.
