This is a lovely example of a Mid Victorian Carved side table or Console table ideal for the hall or the end of a sofa c1860-80.  It has a lift up lid section at the front which is hinged and original for stuff.  It is raised on an ornately shaped lower base shelf with straight supports to the back and a heavily carved front leg.  The top has a thumbnail moulding with very ornately carved back rail.
