A handsome antique Victorian mahogany headboard dating from circa 1870s. The richly figured mahogany frame with serpentine top rail and central flame mahogany veneer panel flanked by two bold barley twist supports topped with turned finials. Originally part of a bedstead, probably the footboard originally, so may need raising in height, depending on requirements.

Good condition. Beautiful patina and good colour. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Holes to bottom and sides of legs where original side rails would have been. Originally part of a bedstead, probably the footboard originally.
