A handsome antique Regency period rise and fall piano stool in mahogany dating from circa 1820. A really stylish stool with an adjustable upholstered circular seat which has been newly recovered. It stands on four elegantly turned legs which are united by turned cross stretchers. The seat rises and falls on a wooden screw thread which is supported by a circular base. With beautiful colour and patina to the mahogany, with original wooden screw thread.

With beautiful colour and patina to the mahogany, with some small chips to the veneer in places and various old veneer mends. It has been newly recovered over its existing horsehair upholstery which is firm and sound.
