This is an antique pluviometer. An English, copper udometer, ombrometer or rain recorder, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

Fascinating Victorian measurement device
Displays a desirable aged patina
Copper shows beautifully weathered ageing

Outer sleeve serves as a holder for the rain collector and funnel
Inner measuring jug holds approximately 750mm
Conical funnel with long, 25cm (9.75") spout
