This is an antique scholar's microscope. An English, brass and enamelled metal scientific instrument by Henry Crouch, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Appealing microscope with a quality finish and range of accessories
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Polished brass upper section presents rich golden tones
Legs finished in black enamel over cast metal
Manual focus tube sits above the slide stage, with rotary clips
Rotating objective stage offers a pair of pre-set magnifications
Articulates for and aft, in conjunction with the lightly time-worn mirror
Mahogany carry case provides storage for the accessory eye-cups
Small box of glass slides add interest to the set
Engraved with the maker's name Henry Crouch - London
