Antique Oak Corner Cupboard English Georgian
Fine Quality Oak Corner Cabinet - Lower Drawer - c1780
This generously sized Georgian English oak corner cabinet is a very pleasing example, wonderfully proportioned, and ideal for display and storage purposes.
Of quality craftsmanship it presents lightly canted corners and classic fluted detailing with attractive mouldings to the foot and at the crown.
The field panel door, with arch centre, hangs on elongated H show hinges and opens to reveal a trio of serpentine fronted shelves and original painted interior. To the lower section there presents a full width drawer with swan neck handles and a bat-wing solid brass lock escutcheon.
At the front the cabinet displays a hugely desirable twin star-burst detailing showing ebonised and bleached inlay and further identifying the cabinet as of interest.
The cabinet displays wonderfully throughout and the whole is presented in superior order. Fittings are provided to allow easy wall mounting. There is no lock or key however the cabinet closes correctly.
Overall a quality, large sized, charming English oak corner display cabinet which will suit any location.
