Antique Liberty & Co Carved Japanese Side Table
A charming two tiered Japanese carved Arts & Crafts table for Liberty & Co circa 1900. With sunflower motif carving to both the top and bottom and standing on four carved legs. In very good condition with good colour and patina, this pretty table would make a wonderful lamp table or plant stand.
These antique tables were hand carved in Japan for Liberty & Co during the early 1900’s, they were commissioned by Liberty as part of their more exotic range of antique furniture when there was fashion for everything Japanese. Made in numbered sections for easy packing and transportation, and assembled at the “Eastern Bazaar” in their Regent Street headquarters in London.
