A superb quality 19th century mahogany four leaf extending dining table. This regency Georgian type dining table when closed is circular in design and will seat 8 people it then extends with the addition of 1,2,3 or 4 leaves to form an oval and becomes an eight, ten .twelve, fourteen or sixteen seater dining table. All the leaves are original. The table has a central pedestal, which is very stable, all raised on a quadripartite base with lions paw feet with wonderful William IV reel detailing on porcelain castors. The top slides out on bearers to reveal concealed legs which drop down to support the end leaves. Each leaf matches with a gadrooned top edge and lower frieze. This table is in great condition two of the leaves are slightly darker in shade as they weren’t used as much by the previous owner. We can polish this out to a uniform colour to the customers particular requirement. Circa 1880.
