This compact is suitable for use with modern loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.
A beautiful 1930s Rowenta compact in excellent condition. The original puff & sifter are present & they are also in very good condition. The whole item has the gorgeous deep gold patina of ancient vanities. The lid & base are beautiful - all gilt jeweller's /jeweler's finish - both with smart engine turned designs & a blank cartouche on the lid. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The interior case is beautifully gilded. The mirror is excellent & gives a clear & accurate reflection. The mirror is surrounded by a bezel which is signed "ROWENTA FOREIGN".
This vintage Rowenta compact measures 5.5 cm X 5.2 cm & weighs 55.3 grams.
