Antique George 111 Carved Oak Chest on Chest and dating from around 1780. It has a cornice top with carved frieze above two short drawers over three long graduating drawers with moulded edge to the base and two long deep drawers. It stands on carved and shaped cabriole legs joined by a shaped frieze. All of the drawer fronts are hand carved and each drawer is pine lined with later Victorian brass handles.
It is hand & peg joined and is in one piece

Measures 65" high x 29.5" wide x 20.5" deep

In very good condition with a lovely deep coloour and patination to the dark nut brown oak and oozes all the charm and character of the period.
