Antique French Ormolu Mounted Corner Cabinet
Antique French glazed corner cabinet with wonderful quality gilt mounts & a pierced gilt metal gallery. It's in lovely original condition & is fine quality throughout. Behind the door are two glass shelves & the original lining fabric which is still in good condition. There is also some fine inlay work on the door panel. The predominate wood of this cabinet is mahogany, while the door panel looks like walnut & some other lighter wood. The inlays are of other more exotic wood. Please enlarge the images to see the quality of the castings. This cabinet also has a working lock & key. I would date it to around the 1910 period.
Depth from back corner to front side edge - 18.5", 47 cm
Height - 60", 153 cm
