Antique French Bed With Cane Panels
a10686 Very fine French cane double bed
This is a very good quality French double bed, circa 1900 and in good condition.
The bed is beautifully carved from the simple fluted tapered legs, to the floral dials along the original side rails and base of footboard, right up to the pair of birds in the wreath
The frame also has the slim drape running / carved throughout it which is an unusual touch and a great sign of quality craftmanship too.
The bed can either be polished up or parhaps painted ( which it is very likely to have been originally )
The headboard stands 53`` high The footboard stands 33`` high and is 57`` wide
Suitable to hold a standard 4`6`` x 6`3`` standard double mattress.
The bed comes complete with a supporting box base
