Antique Georgian chest of drawers from the 18th century, later crossbanded with walnut and oak.

This chest possesses a delightful combination of age, charm, and character, featuring a discreet catch on the top right-hand drawer. The oak-lined drawers, while showing some marks inside as expected, maintain their structural integrity with no loose joints and slide freely.

With appealing proportions and a charming historic waviness and distortion, the piece carries an almost artistic quality.

Overall dimensions: 96.5cm in width, 53cm in depth, and 91cm in height.

As customary for genuine antique furniture, the chest bears historic knocks, marks, cracks, scratches, wear, imperfections, and signs of repairs and alterations. The locks are untested due to the absence of keys, and later handles have been added. Historic extinct woodworm holes, common for 18th-century walnut/oak pieces, have been treated. Some veneer replacement, along with imperfections and repairs typical of period burr walnut, are present.
