This is a fine example of an antique bow front chest of drawers. An English, Georgian, mahogany chest dating to the late 18th century, circa 1790.
In quality mahogany with attractive grain and good colour
Useful shallow proportions arranged in a classic '2 over 2' configuration
Raised on typical splayed, slender bracket feet
Oak lined, cock beaded drawers solidly constructed with dovetailed joints
Inset brass keyhole escutcheons fronting brass locks, untested as key absent
Dressed with drop handles over ovular, pressed brass back plates
Charming and useful, ideal in many locations. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
