This is an antique billiard scoreboard cabinet. An English, oak decorative games room cabinet, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
Impressive proportion and with high decorative appeal, ideal for any room
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in very good order throughout
Select oak shows deep caramel hues and fine grain interest
Configured for scoring two player billiards, and life pool games
The upper scoring surface pulls forward from within the cabinet for use with a pair of cut-out handles
Pair of rotating drum cylinders marked from 0-100, with superb lion head brass sliders
Slate scoreboard to centre with sliding life pool counters either side - sliding star counter recessed within frame
Appealing glazed gallery for storing billiard or pool balls with a drop-front panel — working lock, key present
Panelled cabinet doors dressed with brass drop handles and a working lock escutcheon — key present
Pair of wide drawers to lower cabinet, dressed with loop handles over foliate backplates
Decorative relief carvings adorn the crown moulding and cabinet base
Raised upon three square section feet to front, with bracket feet at the rear
