Antique Beidermeier Secretaire Chest of Drawers
Superb Antique Flamed Mahogany Beidermeier Secretaire chest of drawers or commode and dating from around 1860. Constructed from quality flamed mahogany it has a moulded edge to the top above a false drop down drawer front which opens to reveal an open compartment to the centre flanked on either side by three small drawers all of which are oak lined with small gilt knob handles. This is above three long graduating drawers all of which are oak lined with original gilt ornate handles. It is moulded to the base and stands on turned feet.
Of excellent quality and condition.
Measures 40" high x knee height 28" x 19.5" deep x 36" wide
In very good condition with lovely deep colour and patination and oozing all the charm and character of the period. Our antique furniture is cleaned and polished using traditional waxing methods.
