A handsome antique oak arts & crafts period single pedestal desk by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple dating from circa 1905. This lovely desk comprises a single pedestal having an inset dark red writing surface above a rectangular frieze drawer, with four graduated deep drawers. The open side of the desk also boasts two nicely turned legs with castors on all the feet, the drawers with their original drop handles. Stamped S & P, B to the locks.

Condition Report:
General wear and marks commensurate with age. A few marks to top and small filed holes. Some holes to handles on larger drawer where the drop handles have been repaired (see photos).
