This is an antique Art Nouveau dressing table. An English, Maple And Co., mahogany vanity table dating to the late 19th century, circa 1890.
A quality period piece from renowned cabinet makers Maple and Co.
In select mahogany with a lustrous wax polished finish
Grain interest throughout with a desirable aged patina
Large, square bevel edged mirror plate displays desirable light foxing
Canopied and flanked by sinuous brackets and 'cigar' turned columns
Decorative balustraded panels over a pair of drawers
The rear up-stand centres around an Art Nouveau, stylised floral carving
A suite of five drawers dressed with attractive brass drop handles
Swagged apron dressing the kneehole and skirt
Raised on four, circular section legs over turned collar and ball feet
