This is an antique three tier music stand. An English, rosewood whatnot with articulated lectern rest, dating to the Regency period, circa 1820.
Delightful music stand, with fine Regency craftsmanship
Presents a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks present fine grain interest and rich caramel hues
Arranged across two display tiers with an adjustable rest to the top
Set upon a ratchet rest, the top reclines in multiple angles
Removable paper rest to the leading edge, securing sheet music when in use
Crafted from brass, two articulated candle sconces offer a provision for illuminating the rest
Upper display gallery ideal for setting down a violin or trumpet
Supports accentuated with eye-catching tulip flowerhead relief carvings
Useful drawer for retaining sheet music, dressed with a pair of circular pulls
